For those interested, the last working
into Port Lincoln for 1999 was the return of a wheat train from Lock worked by
871+872+DA3 (last two 2 end leading) which arrived at 9.30am on 31/12/99.
DA7 carried out the terminal shunt and finally called it a day around midday
before the system shut down for the break.
I checked loco again the next morning (1/1/00) to
confirm the following locos being present - DA4,7,
NJ 1 to 6, 842,851,865,869,871,872.
At Whyalla on New Years Day, CKA5,CKA6, DE 4,5, and 7 were in BHP
loco.
