The interesting thing about this quin was that the two 80 class were marshalled behind the three 81 class against the load, so it is unlikely that they were added at Enfield to assist to Waterfall.
This begs the question as to whether they were actually part of the original motive power consist (from Clarence?) and 8109 may have been the banker attached at Enfield.
Does anyone have any clues or suggestions?
