Sightings on the first day of Millenium!

Aus loco discussion mailing list

Today was spent around Sydney and Wollongong, looking for photo
opportunities on a very quiet rail network.

442s5 was still located at Botany, spending the long weekend near the goods
yard.

Delec had the usual mix of in service and derelict locomotives, but of
interest was CRT's 7322 and 7334, painted and waiting to move to Yennora and
Melbourne.

Down in Port Kembla, we found HBL58 at the end of the companies siding, near
the old steam crane. It has obviously been undergoing a recent repaint
(rather shabily) and was only half finished. New HBL plates have been placed
in the former BHP plate position.

Log train was present with G522 and X45!

Finally a quick run past the NRC Yard showed
NR58 DL49 On a steelie
DL41 DL47 NR5 NR26 NR43 NR54 NR61 NR63 NR84 NR85 NR103
8117 National Rail Livery

Hope this is of interest
