Austrac's SM7 was following ST1 through Moss Vale at about 2250.
The crew said they had engines problems with the second unit, turns out to
have EL52 leading 1873 (back to back?). The train pulled up on the Down
platform and was gone in 5 mins or so with 1873 sounding healthy.
BTW a fair sized train, loco's worked hard out of the station.  Sounded like
a pair of rusting Alco's.
Why can't they repower the EL's so they sound like GM's.

PS Ivar,in another example of Alco rubbish doing what it does best (fail).
8011 working 2138 set off the Hot Box detector at Exeter.  It went into the
Up refuge at Moss Vale to cross ST4 and SN54.  Turned out to be nothing
wrong (damn!)
