Re: Quin on 2WQ3

Ooops!, the lack of sleep gremlin has caught me out again. It was 2QW2 not
as previously posted.
I've found out that the 3 NR's (29+93+69) had run up light engine from
pressumably Port Kembla as DSW1 to Moss Vale and were attached to 2QW2 (NR?
and DL50) there. Apparently they were rostered for the movement light engine
both to and from Moss Vale but I would say to save congestion on the
mountain they were attached to QW2 for the trip back east. The train no. of
DSW1 would seem to indicate that they came off 2SW1 ballast (Cooks River to
Dunmore Quarry). Standard practice is that the first no. is substituted for
"D" for light engine movements to and from trains. But why would there be a
light engine movement of three NR's to Moss Vale and back to Port K. The
possibilities are endless, but I'd say they would possibly be used for some
sort of test. Ivar and I talked it out earlier tonight and thats the only
logical explanation we could come up with (but hang on we are talking about
the railways here, logic doesn't come into it). Lets see if someone can find
out some facts.
