Ausloco'ers
Here are some afternoon observations from today on the metro goods
between Canterbury and Campsie.
Canterbury Station:
1732 - 48106/48148 on an up trip train, fairly small only 20 conflats
behind. The twin Alco's laboured through the cutting East of Canterbury
station, filling the valley with the classic Alco sound.
1740 - 8106 (with NR Stick-ons) also on the up, with 3 louvre vans worth
of transfer work to Cooks River
Campsie Station:
1940 - NR45 (big numbers) with a down freighter of about 36 louvres and
flats, about 50% loaded. This train (as far as I can tell) is either 5SA5
or 5SM5 [which may well be the same train with different numbers].
Hope this is of interest
Scott
