At this point in time it would appear likely that T 390, T 408 and T 409
will be converted to Standard gauge to work the Appleton Dock to The
Rock and Coolamon grain services. They are in the process of having some
cab mods carried out at the moment, which includes the fitting of an
Air-Conditioner. Current SG unit T 399 will remain as is, and also be
used ont he services. All units are now in the FV green livery, and the
wagons are currently being repainted and modified.

It also seems that G 543 will be converted to Standard gauge, to replace
G 522 working FV logs trains between Port Kembla and Hume and
Wallerawang. G 543 is a non-DOO loco, and is better off being used in
NSW, where all services are 2 man operation, and G 522 being a DOO
modified unit, can be better used in FV's loco rostering patterns.

There is a possibility that the 3 SG H class locos will be converted to
Broad Gauge, for log train traffic in the East.

T 379 has re-entered service after a lengthy period in storage.
