The track is owned by ARTC, so it was not our turf.
The rules for the operation of the train are set by the ARTC, who had an inspector riding through out the whole journey.
Our crews were accompanied by a fully Qualified New South Wales driver or inspector at all times.

I ran the train ex Dynon last night (Monday 24.04.2000) to Maroona. Sign on at 1735.
Locos 44211 leading 4201. 14 cars for 629 tonnes.
ex South Dynon loco 2205, South Dynon Junction 2209, West Footscray Junction 2214, Tottenham Loop 2217, Tottenham B Box 2218, Brooklyn 2223, Newport 2229, Galvin BP 2238, Manor 2250, Elders BP 2300, North Shore SG Platform 2308-2317, North
Geelong BP 2320, Gheringhap 2330, Hesse BP 2348, Wingeel 0001, Werneth BP 0013, Berrybank 0020, Tooli BP 0031, Vite Vite 0043, Fiery Creek BP 0056, Tatyoon 0111, Maroona 0122.
A good run enroute with no opposing or following trains. On arrival at Maroona 44211 and 4201 were stabled and shut down in number 3 road. 3830 and 3801, both tender first then attached to the train with 3 extra vehicles for the run to
Portland. It departed Maroona at 0029, Glen Thompson 0324-0327, Grampians Loop 0418?, Hamilton 0435, Heywood 0557, Portland Junction 0629, Portland Operations 0634, arrive Portland Harbour sidings at 0642. Reverse and run ex Portland Harbour
sidings at 0731, Portland Operations 0736, Portland Junction 0742-0744...push back to Portland Fast Track siding arrive 0749.
