Re: 43 Model Type

Aus loco discussion mailing list

Afternoon to all,

>From my records, 4301 and 4302 were condemned for scrapping at Chullora
Workshops. It appears that 4301 was cut up at Simsmetal at St. Marys whilst
4302 hit the decks at Simsmetal, Mascot.

4303,4304 & 4305 were cut up at Broadmeadow by Simsmetal. I have a photo
taken in January 1975 of 4303 and 4304 sitting in a paddock at Broadmeadow
loco, minus bodies, prime mover and most of the other 'innards'. They were
basically just a shell. They were there for some time.

Hope this may be of assistance.

Regards,

Mark
