Just a 'bit' of reminiscing !!!!
And keeping with the 'steam' focus this Easter !!

An afternoon at Auburn :-

3003                         1.25PM       Down LE
Regular LE to Blacktown for Richmond

5263                         1.35PM       CWW Shunter
Of course, 5114 was the CWW shunter.
But on the few occasions it was unavailable,
it always seemed to be another 'saturated' T !!
A 30T stood in on a few occasions.
But once again, never a superheated engine !!
With dieselisation 41's and 48's and later, 
73's became the regular CWW shunters !!

5476                         1.40PM       Down LE
To Clyde Yard

4109                         2.05PM       Down CWW 'Trip'
Always a motley collection of wagons for OH !!
Various brakevans from country locations usually
spread through the train. Usually, a couple of SHG's !!
More often then not, a damaged wagon, or two, behind 
the 'real' Brakevan !!

3255                         2.15PM       Down LE
To Clyde Yard

There was always a break of an hour or two, here !!
Just enough time to share a 'milk-shake' and maybe talk music 
with a 'couple' of the St. John girls, on their way home !!
Arghhh. . . . . Big SIGH !!

Now, where were we ??

3325                         4.35PM       Down 'Abattoirs' 'Pass
Usually an 8 car LUB Set with an FL or 2 !!
>From memory this worked to Blacktown and then formed 
a Richmond service !!

4469                         4.40PM       Down Oil

48131                       5.00PM       Down Richmond Pass'
Didn't stop at Auburn !!
Always a 48, cab leading or long end leading.
And always 'powering' through Auburn !!

5405                         5.05PM       Up Goods
Ex Clyde Yard
The first of the evenings 'procession' of 'trip trains' back to
Enfield !!
