For those of us worried about 3830's current state
of health prior to the Melbourne trip, it is running NS29/ NS30 special to
Maitland today. During the stop at Hornsby this morning, a brief inspection was
made of the new bearing, and the crew seemed satisfied. All sounded well as
she steamed north.
4401 was banking on the rear as "Insurance". It may
have been taken off at Gosford.
Return times are Maitland 5.08pm, Broadmeadow 5.40,
Gosford 6.57/ 7.17 (Water), Hawkesbury River 7.44, Cowan 8.01, Hornsby
8.18/8.19, Strathfield 8.51/8.54, Central 9.09pm.
