Evening All
T 373 went for a bit of a run today, as train 3362 it
left Junee at 0905 leading 5 container wagons with 12 containers bound for
Young, an uneventful run to near the site of Jindalee where it crossed a late
running SP 5 with NR106 Casino up front, the train was put away in Harden yard
to run around and to let WP 2, 70 - 11? - DL 45 pass through at 1130, at 1135,
with the staff in hand T 373 left Harden for the short
run to Demondrille, took the branch and wandered off to Young arriving at
1200,
Meanwhile back at Junee, the newest additions to the
growing stable of FA loco's and wagons working in NSW arrived, X 40
leading T 408 and 10 wagons ,came down the
hill around 1100, the extra wagons were added to the rake of 9383 which
had arrived at 0650 this morning, the X and the T then went up to the Roundhouse
with the intention of the X pairing with G 543 and the T joining with T's 399
and 390, unfortunately, T 390 ended up in the dirt,
Back at Young, T 373 was trying to get out of Young
yard, and off to Koorawatha in order to lock away, as there was a Freight corp
grain due off the Grenfell branch, A set of points that would not allow the
Facing Point Lock to work cost them nearly an hour,
3984 was eventually formed using X 40 T 408 T 399 and 30
wagons , departing Junee at 1230 for the new complex at Coolamon, where loading
commenced at 1400,
Back at the Roundhouse, the Cootamundra emergency crew
and van had arrived, after having a good laugh at somebody else's misfortune,
set about putting T 390's lead bogie back on the rails, with assistance from EL
52 the errant T class finally regained the rails and was taken into the
workshops for attention to the sanding gear,
G 543 - X 40 are due away at 2100 for the run to Port
Kembla, G 542 - G 533 on train 9381 are due in around 0100 ? they will run
around their train and drop wagons at Matong , Grong Grong, Narrandera ?
and Murrami,
3146 has just gone by 4850 - 4867, 1 container and 16 m/t
