Aus loco discussion mailing list
Morning, all,
we had both Indigenous liveried NRs thru here last night within an hour &
half.
NR61/NR52 worked 6YN2 thru Bargo @ 18.22 whilst NR30/NR66 worked 6BA6 thru @
20.10. This poses a query from me as NR30 is not allowed to lead in Mexico
so no doubt a loco change/addition would have taken place somewhere before
Mexican border. Any sightings of this train down south would be appreciated.
Incidentally, there was a total NR class dominance on the short south
yesterday (Sat 8/4) between Picton & Mittagong as the following were sighted
at Bargo:
11.49 NR2/NR64 on 2PW4
15.18 NR83/NR1 on 6BM4
15.37 NR63/NR48 on 7SG3
16.56 NR12/NR109/NR115 on 7SP5
18.22 NR61/NR52 on 6YN2
20.10 NR30/NR66 on 6BA6.
Finally at 20.25 8164/8143 worked TM55 to Tahmoor (unusual for Saturday)
whilst 8025/8035 worked the previously posted 2138 @ 22.00.
An 82 class squeeked thru on 3476 canola, but by then the brain was in sleep
mode.
Regards
Ivar
